GM Attorneys/Paralegals Speak to Students on Law Day |
|
Several attorneys and paralegals from Gross McGinley celebrated Law Day 2010 by going into local schools and speaking with students about "law". The Bar Association of Lehigh County coordinates the placement of attorneys in local schools. Due to an overwhelming response at William Allen High School, the attorneys were asked to stay and present to additional classes. A very popular topic was social networking, such as Facebook and My Space. "It was refreshing to see the interest the students have relative to the law", says Attorney Ewalde Cook, a presenter at William Allen.
Each year, on May 1, Americans celebrate Law Day. The theme for Law Day 2010 was Law in the 21st Century: Enduring Traditions, Emerging Challenges. It encourages us to examine our legal traditions and apply the lessons learned to help us face the challenges that lie ahead. In short, it urges us to learn from the past to help prepare for the future.
