Attorney Fowler has built his career with empathy and compassion for his clients and dedication to his work. With a passion for public service, as an Associate Attorney, Zach successfully obtained an injunction to keep a local precinct open after polls closed on Election Day 2018 allowing voters more time to cast their votes. Zach has also found success arguing and fighting for his client’s rights before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court obtaining a landmark decision in a Facebook defamation case.Zach’s passion for public service led him to serve on Capitol Hill alongside Congresswoman Susan Wild. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Zach marshaled the CARES Act funding for Lehigh Valley district hospitals. Zach also assisted in obtaining funds for at-home COVID testing and drafted legislation for congressional hearings for the Education and Labor Committee. After his service on Capitol Hill, Zach returned to Lehigh Valley and Gross McGinley where his skills and proficiency as a litigator are put to work defending small to large businesses and medical institutions. He rejoined Gross McGinley because of the people, who were not just coworkers, but friends. More importantly, it was an opportunity to impact the community that felt most like “home.” The entire time he was in Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia, he felt the tug to come back to the Lehigh Valley. Zach has found success repeatedly, navigating complex litigation matters handling all from inception to trial and appeal. He is committed to the community he serves and is guided by the philosophy of Atticus Finch, the protagonist in To Kill and Mockingbird, “Simply because we were licked a hundred years before we started is no reason for us not to try to win.” This philosophy resonates in the advice he bestows on the next generation of lawyers. He tells them not to be afraid to lose and if they do, lose with grace. When they win, win with grace.Zach’s most recent success has come through his numerous wins defending his insurance and medical malpractice clients at trial. He has earned 4 defense verdicts since rejoining the firm in 2023. His work on Capitol Hill campaigning to get a Lehigh County Crisis Intervention set up has also come to fruition recently as Lehigh County now offers 24/7 crisis support providing supportive listening and assistance to those in need. Zach regularly looks to give back to his community through volunteering endeavors and partnering with other attorneys at Gross McGinley on philanthropic opportunities volunteering his time and money at fundraising and service events across the Lehigh Valley including giving regularly of himself to the local hospitals and the Wills for Heroes program. Zach’s commitment to his practice and career has led him to be honored four times to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers – Rising Stars list and was named to the 2024 LVB Forty Under 40 List.Zach loves the adrenaline rush of a jury trial, his favorite part about being an attorney. To him, the best part of practicing law is when a client that he previously represented randomly reaches out to say hello. Zach gives all of his clients his cell phone number and tells each one who has gone through a trial with him that they are forever “family” whether they like it or not. His passion for the law and his practice are not the only things that inspires him or how he defines success. Those honors also go to his grandfather and his two sons, Dean and Nash. Watching them grow into good people is what drives him day in and day out to set a good example and be a positive influence on those around him.
