Attorney Jack Gross was honored by Communities in Schools (CIS) of the Lehigh Valley, Inc. upon receiving the inaugural Milliken Service Award during its 2017 SUCCESS Awards and Recognition Dinner. In addition to a precious, handmade award plaque by CIS students, Jack also received recognition from the House of Representatives and Senate of Pennsylvania.The Milliken Service Award is presented to a community leader who has been a strong advocate and supporter of the mission of CIS, which is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school, and to achieve throughout their lives. Jack was a member of the Board of Directors of CIS of the Lehigh Valley from 2006 until 2016 and served as President from 2011 to 2013. Under his capable leadership, the organization experienced significant growth and moved its administrative offices to Lehigh Street. Additionally, CIS of the Lehigh Valley completed requirements for and received approval from CIS National as a Total Quality System affiliate in the CIS Network.Jack is committed to serving his community, utilizing his considerable talents, energies, and resources to serve others. In addition to his impressive career as a business and real estate attorney in the Lehigh Valley, Jack continues his community service on several boards including Da Vinci Science Center, Muhlenberg College Board of Associates, Allentown Commercial and Industrial Development Authority, and Lehigh Valley Business Coalition on Healthcare.We congratulate Jack on this momentous achievement and we are proud to see his service and commitment recognized.
