Attorney Kimberly A. Spotts-Kimmel, a Partner with Gross McGinley, LLP, was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for Rodale Institute, a nonprofit that strives to improve the health and well-being of people and the planet through organic leadership. As a board member, she joins an impressive list of professionals and organic advocates who help lead the organization in advancing its mission of organic farming through research and outreach.Kim, a long time supporter of Rodale Institute, focuses her law practice on business, intellectual property, internet, and advertising law. She counsels businesses large and small on various matters ranging from formation, operation, and sale of businesses to contract negotiations, along with matters concerning trademarks, copyrights, sweepstakes and contests, licensing, advertising, and entertainment. Kim works with companies in a variety of industries including media and publishing, technology and app developers, media production, and more. She earned her J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1999, and her B.A. from Albright College in 1995.The Rodale family is well known throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond as pioneers of the healthy and organic living movement. Rodale Institute was born from the Rodale family’s desire to share best practices of organic agriculture with farmers and scientists throughout the world and advocate for policies that educate consumers on the benefits of organic consumption. Rodale Institute performs its own research on a farm in Kutztown, PA, as well as provides training workshops and educational material to farmers, scientists, policy-makers, gardeners, and the general public.
