Malcolm J. Gross, founding partner of Gross McGinley, delivered a lecture on “The Trial of John Brown” to the Maryland State Archives on June 22, 2016. His talk featured an analysis of the treason and other charges against the abolitionist John Brown arising out of his raid on Harper’s Ferry. Mal frequently lectures on historical and law topics including First Amendment issues. He is regularly asked to speak at Muhlenberg College, Cedar Crest College, various Bar Associations throughout the state, and other civic groups. Mal is a significant supporter of the preservation of history and played a large part in the establishment of the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum.The Maryland State Archives stores numerous government records dating back to the 1600’s. Mal was invited to speak as a part of the organization’s Lunch & Learn series.
