Meet the Gross McGinley Summer Associates for 2024

Meet the three talented and eager law students who have joined Gross McGinley for the summer of 2024 to participate in our Summer Associate program

Welcome Katie and welcome back Kaitlyn and Aubrey!

Katie Jean

Meet 2024 Summer Associate, Katie Jean, a third-year law student at Penn State University. At Penn State, Katie serves as Articles Editor for the Penn State Law Review and is a Clinical Intern at Penn State’s Entrepreneurship Assistance Clinic. She earned her undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University in 2022 where she played field hockey and earned a double degree in Psychology and Communications. Katie wants to utilize her summer at Gross McGinley to get a feel for business transactions, corporate law, and sports law. In her downtime, Katie heads to the beach with her dog and spends quality time with her family.

 

Kaitlyn Furst

Welcome back to Summer Associate Kaitlyn Furst. Kaitlyn joined Gross McGinley’s Summer Associate program for the second year and is now a third-year law student at Villanova Charles Widger School of Law. She is Managing Editor of Technology for Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal, Co-president of the Family Law Society, Vice President of the Pro Bono Society, and Research Assistant for the Villanova Law Institute to Address Commercial Sexual Exploitation. She attended Moravian University as an undergraduate, earning her Music and Sociology degrees in 2022. Kaitlyn is interested in participating in the Family Law, Civil Litigation, Medical Malpractice Defense, and Real Estate Groups this summer. While away from school and work, Kaitlyn spends her time at Barre 3 classes, enjoys reading fiction and relaxing with her cat and family.

 

Aubrey Fleming

Aubrey Fleming returns to Gross McGinley for the second year as a Summer Associate in 2024. A third-year law student at Penn State University, her areas of interest and focus this summer are Litigation and Business Law. She serves as Editor-in-Chief for the Penn State Law Journal of Law and International Affairs. Aubrey is also the Co-Chair and Coach for the 1L Mock Trial Competition and serves as a Research Assistant for the Intellectual Property Law Clinic. Penn State is also where Aubrey earned her undergraduate degree in Science and has a minor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. During her personal time, Aubrey enjoys gardening, trying new foods, and relaxing with her family and dogs.
