Attorney Samuel E. Cohen has been listed as one of Lehigh Valley Business‘s 2019 Forty Under 40. The award recognizes young professionals who are making an impact within their companies and in the business community. Recipients are selected based on their commitment to growth and professional excellence. Along with his fellow honorees and supportive colleagues, Sam was recognized at the official awards program held on April 11th at Bear Creek Mountain Resort.For the past 13 years, Sam has proven his value as a leader and a team player in the legal and business communities. A Partner in the firm’s Litigation Group, Sam focuses his legal practice on commercial litigation, employment litigation, and business disputes. He has litigated many cases and achieved favorable results for individuals and businesses throughout the Lehigh Valley. He maintains excellent relationships with the local state and federal judges and remains involved with the local Bar Associations.Sam began his career at Gross McGinley 11 years ago as an Associate Attorney. After building his reputation as a respected litigator in the Lehigh Valley and as a reliable team member at Gross McGinley, the firm promoted him to the position of Senior Counsel. His career advanced at an accelerated pace as he grew his own book of business, adding value to his clients as a trusted legal advisor. In 2017, Sam was voted to be made Partner by his colleagues. As a Partner, Sam has the opportunity to expand his reach and continues to provide creative, effective, and cost efficient legal services to his clients.Sam serves in several leadership positions in the community. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for Lehigh Valley Arts Council and on the Board of Associates for Lehigh Valley Health Network. He formerly served on the Allentown Chamber of Commerce Board. A proud alumnus of Moravian Academy, Sam is a member and past president of the school’s Alumni Board. He is also a former member of Moravian Academy’s Board of Trustees. He serves as the Solicitor to the Lehigh Valley Clubmen’s Association a collective of Fraternal and Social Organizations throughout the Lehigh Valley that regularly meet to discuss common issues and governance. Sam also serves the Upper Milford Township Zoning Hearing Board as an Alternate Member.In addition to his 2019 Forty Under 40 recognition, Sam has also been selected for inclusion in the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars lists from 2014-2018.In addition to his leadership in the community, Sam has taken the initiative to step into leadership positions within Gross McGinley. Serving as a member of several management committees, Sam has played a vital role in the advancement of the firm.
